Who are the financiers and investors behind the global coal plant pipeline?

In cooperation with Banktrack, Les Amis de la Terre, RAN and Re:Common, Urgewald also regularly publishes research that identifies which financial institutions are backing the world’s top coal plant developers. Our finance database provides an overview of bond and shareholdings by institutional investors in these companies as well as loans and investment banking services provided to these companies by commercial banks.

Please note: Our finance database was last compiled in November 2018 (Media Briefing: Financiers of Coal Plant Developers, December 2018). A new and expanded update will be published in December 2019.
